Genesis 46:2 says, “And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I.” God named him Israel but here he calls him Jacob? You’d think if he changed someone’s name he’d remember what he changed it to and call him by it.
