Stone the drunkards!!! Hey that's punny.

Deuteronomy 21:19 says, "Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place; 21:20 And they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard. 21:21 And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die: so shalt thou put evil away from among you; and all Israel shall hear, and fear."  I hate to remind god but wasn't Noah a drunk.  The first thing he did after landing on dry land was to sacrifice one of each of the animals?  A smart thing to do when you brought only two of which you wanted them to mate.  Then he got drunk and poor Ham had to see him naked.  By reading this I guess Ham should have stoned Noah who it seems was already stoned?

This is a loving god? Killing children again...

Deuteronomy 20:16 says, "But of the cities of these people, which the LORD thy God doth give thee for an inheritance, thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth: 20:17 But thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee: 20:18 That they teach you not to do after all their abominations, which they have done unto their gods; so should ye sin against the LORD your God."  So this is the loving god who created even the people who he wants utterly destroyed?  Why doesn't he show himself to these heathens and set them straight?  I don't get it?  I wouldn't want women or children killed.  I don't want anybody killed.  Does this make me better than god?

Once again, god acts like women are cattle

Deuteronomy 20:14 says, "But the women, and the little ones, and the cattle, and all that is in the city, even all the spoil thereof, shalt thou take unto thyself; and thou shalt eat the spoil of thine enemies, which the LORD thy God hath given thee."  Once again, god acts like women are cattle.  Spoils of war.  Just take them and use them for whatever you want.

It's easier than building the cities...

Deuteronomy 19:7 says, "Wherefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt separate three cities for thee.  19:8 And if the LORD thy God enlarge thy coast, as he hath sworn unto thy fathers, and give thee all the land which he promised to give unto thy fathers;"  I guess invading people and taking their city is easier than building your own cities.  I just don't understand how god let these squatters build anything on land he promised the Israelites.  Seems like poor planning on gods part.  That is unless he wanted these people who he made but doesn't love just to make the cities for his favorite people.

Is god repeating himself?

Deuteronomy 19:4 says, "And this is the case of the slayer, which shall flee thither, that he may live: Whoso killeth his neighbor ignorantly, whom he hated not in time past; 19:5 As when a man goeth into the wood with his neighbor to hew wood, and his hand fetcheth a stroke with the axe to cut down the tree, and the head slippeth from the helve, and lighteth upon his neighbor, that he die; he shall flee unto one of those cities, and live: 19:6 Lest the avenger of the blood pursue the slayer, while his heart is hot, and overtake him, because the way is long, and slay him; whereas he was not worthy of death, inasmuch as he hated him not in time past"  God said this same thing earlier almost word for word.  Is he absent minded or did he forget?  I mean if he is trying to emphasize something why would he emphasize that if you are in an accident run to a different city to protect yourself from the people who he told not to kill.  It just doesn't make sense to me.  It was an accident!  

God forgets again?

Deuteronomy 19:3 says, "Thou shalt prepare thee a way, and divide the coasts of thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee to inherit, into three parts, that every slayer may flee thither."  Didn't god write a commandment that said "Thou shall not kill?"  Did he forget that he made a blanket statement?  Now he just shifts killers around to different cities. Guess he never heard of a serial killer?
