Genesis 28:2 says, “Arise, go to Padanaram, to the house of Bethuel thy mother's father; and take thee a wife from thence of the daughters of Laban thy mother's brother.” I guess god didn’t know a lot about DNA. Marrying 1st cousins is a sure way to have bad things happen.
