Exodus 4:21 says, “And the LORD said unto Moses, When thou goest to return into Egypt, see that thou do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have put in thine hand: but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go.” Why, so the Egyptian people will suffer at the hand of god? How cruel. Why go to all the trouble to show him the wonders if it isn't going to work anyways. You would think he could have found another way like not letting the Hebrews become slaves in the first place.
