Exodus 24:18 says, “And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and gat him up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights.” I hope Moses took food and water. God sometimes forgets those things. Why so long for a couple of stone tablets? God made everything in just a few days.
