The last word on the book of Leviticus.

This is a book of rules.  God speaks only to Moses, no one else.  The rules are repeated over and over clearly favoring men over women.  Some of the rules directly contradict the judgments god had previously set in Exodus.  Most of the rules were already broken by the Israelites and sometimes by the ones god favored the most.

If an Israelite breaks a law he is either killed or has to kill an innocent animal to gain favor once again.  God repeatedly moans on about his people worshiping other gods.

I am still in search of the gentle god who loves us in this book but have only seen a jealous god among many other gods who loves spilled blood and burnt offerings.  Excuse me if I will not bow to this bloodthirsty maniac.
