Stranger, Lord, or Prince?

Gen 23:4 says, “I am a stranger and a sojourner with you: give me a possession of a buryingplace with you, that I may bury my dead out of my sight.”  So Aberham is a stranger here but wait?  Gen 23:6 says, “Hear us, my lord: thou art a mighty prince among us: in the choice of our sepulchres bury thy dead; none of us shall withhold from thee his sepulchre, but that thou mayest bury thy dead.”  Why do they call him a lord?  Later they say he is a mighty prince among them.  I thought he was a stranger.  Now we already know Abraham has a problem lying to foreigners.  Did he stretch the truth about his status to them a little?
