Genesis 35:27 says, “And Jacob came unto Isaac his father unto Mamre, unto the city of Arba, which is Hebron, where Abraham and Isaac sojourned. 35:28 And the days of Isaac were an hundred and fourscore years.” How is he still alive? Genesis 27:1 says, “And it came to pass, that when Isaac was old, and his eyes were dim, so that he could not see, he called Esau his eldest son, and said unto him, My son: and he said unto him, Behold, here am I. 27:2 And he said, Behold now, I am old, I know not the day of my death:” Now at this point Isaac is losing his sight and fearing death so much so that he wants to bless his eldest son for perhaps the last time. Jacob steals the blessing and goes into hiding at the tents of Laban. There he works for Laban for 14 years and then starts having his 12 sons. So in my thoughts, It has been twenty or more years (probably more.) How has Isaac survived this long?
