Gen 26:24 says, “And the LORD appeared unto him the same night, and said, I am the God of Abraham thy father: fear not, for I am with thee, and will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham's sake.” Why does he always call himself the God of Abraham? Are there gods other than Abraham's? Couldn’t he name himself? Abraham is dead. He is buried in the same cave as his wife Sarah. She has to be thrilled that her husband who had all those concubines is buried with her. I’m sure my wife would love the thought of that.

And the ten commandments suggests there must be other gods; why else would Yahweh be jealous?
