God doesn’t know once again

Gen 22:12 says, “And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.”  Why in all that is good would you subject young Isaac to this trauma?  His dad ready to kill him.  Shouldn’t god have known what Abraham would do?  Why would someone who already knows what will happen in Revelations not know what a simple creation of his would do?  These passages titled god does not know should be proof he either does not care about us or does not know for one second what we will do.
