God forgets once again

Deuteronomy 7:4 says, “For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.”  But didn’t he say in in Deuteronomy 4:27, “And the LORD shall scatter you among the nations, and ye shall be left few in number among the heathen, whither the LORD shall lead you.

4:28 And there ye shall serve gods, the work of men's hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell 4:29 But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.”  How will you be able to seek god if you destroy their stuff?  Deuteronomy 7:5 “But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire.”  These are mixed messages.  What should we do?  Serve the other gods or break their stuff?

  1. The Bible says many things that are just plain absurd.

The Hebrews proposed that they are God's chosen in Deuteronomy simply because because THEY wrote it. No skydaddy wrote this crap.
