Rabbits chew cud? God doesn’t know, again.

Deuteronomy 14:7 says, “Nevertheless these ye shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the cloven hoof; as the camel, and the hare, and the coney: for they chew the cud, but divide not the hoof; therefore they are unclean unto you.” I thought we already went over this once. Hares and coneys don’t chew cud. You’d think an omniscient god would know this. Especially since he created them.

God only loves the Israelites

Deuteronomy 14:2 says, “For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.” If god made everything and everyone, why does he only love the Israelites? Does he play favorites?

Kill anyone who tried to convert you

Deuteronomy 13:6 says, “If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers;

13:7 Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth;

13:8 Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him:

13:9 But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.” So if someone suggests another religion you should kill him? Just keep that in mind when a Jehovah’s Witness or Mormon comes knocking at your door. Remember, their god is not your god. So, god says murder is Ok? I wonder if a lawyer has tried that as a defense?

Where do these prophesy’s come from?

Deuteronomy 13:1 says, “If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,

13:2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;

13:3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.” Where do these dreamers get their signs from? Other gods or is god just trying to trick them. That wouldn’t be good or nice.

Burn graven images?

Deuteronomy 7:25 says, “The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therein: for it is an abomination to the LORD thy God.” So, the Israelites should burn any images of any god other than theirs. They are also not supposed to make graven images of their own of anything on earth or the heavens. I just went to the the Israel Museum, in Jerusalem and found on display artifacts from the Matters of Eternity
Special Exhibit

Below is a description of what is on exhibition.

“An intimate display of highlights from the Museum’s Archaeology Wing evokes subjects that lay at the heart of the ancient world: religious faith and ritual, divine law, gods and earthly rulers, the powerful cycle of nature and concern for the world to come – all regarded as matters of eternity. These important objects include: the fragment from a 9thcentury BCE Aramean monument that mentions the House of David; a Roman sculpture of the goddess Kore, whose annual return from the underworld heralded the coming of spring and the rebirth of nature.”
It is on display in the: Youth Wing Foyer. Shouldn’t they burn these images of other gods? Below is one of the images. I believe it is Egyptian.

Wait a Minute. I just realized something. Another goof.

Let’s go back to Exodus 24:18 which says, “And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and gat him up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights.” I know. You thought we were done with Exodus but think about this. Moses was gone for 40 days and 40 nights so god could write come things on two stone tablets and describe his tabernacle. Isn’t this the same god who supposedly made everything in 7 days? This is all spelled out in Exodus 1:1 thru 2:3. Is god a slow writer or did the writers of this book make a goof? You'd think Moses would be really careful with stone tablets written by the hand of god. Especially since it took god so long to write them.
