Deuteronomy 17:6 says, “At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is worthy of death be put to death; but at the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death.” It takes a lot more than a few witnesses to put people to death right now. DNA evidence has saved hundreds from death row who were tried and wrongly convicted of crimes. Why would god let just two or three witnesses decide a man’s fate if we now know they could make a very big mistake?
